- Hi there!I’m trying to map a loop shift control to my controller. I was working with a Numark 4trak for a while, and I really liked how there were buttons for moving loops by the length of the loop itself. I’m trying to map that functionality onto my little Numark Mixtrack Pro II, but I’m not sure what the control function(s) is/are that will let me do this.Does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance!Traktor has always been, let’s say, the least friendly when it comes to mapping. On the other hand they have a huge community that is into that. Sites like the Traktor Bible and the Traktor forums should have plenty of folks who have already done what you want or can point you in the right direction. In the controller manager You need to use Deck Common> Move menu and use “Move”, “mode selector” and “size selector” all mapped to the same button on the controller. These will allow you to set the move mode as “loop” which allows the loop to be moved, the actual move to be backwards or forwards and the size can be set as “loop” which will allow the amount of movement to be the same number of beats as the current loop length. If this doesn’t make much sense yet I would suggest you open up the move mode in the advanced deck panel & have a play with the various settings to see what happens; this will give a better idea of how these parameters work.Hi, thanks for the tips.I’ve recently successfully mapped Traktor’s fine loop in adjust and fine loop out adjust(while track is playing) to both jog wheels on my Denon MC6000mk2. My problem now is that if I turn the jog wheels too fast to adjust the loop then the playing track tempo also moves and is often noticeable. I have used two modifiers (7 & 8) to enable the loop in and out adjust (Forward and backwards) to the jog wheels but I’m not sure how to disable the tempo movement during loop adjust mode. Ideally I’d like to be able to assign the same modifiers (7 & 8) so that when I press one to adjust the loop in or out the same modifier simultaneously disables tempo movement on the jog wheels. Can anyone offer advice ?Find the existing mapping commands that control the tempo bend from the jog wheel & set them for modifier 7 or 8 =0. That should disable the tempo bend for when you have the loop adjust mode on with the modifiers.
